FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
What does acupuncture feel like?
When the acupuncture needle is inserted into a specific location a patient may feel a tingling, warming, or numbing sensation.
How can I prepare for my first session?
Do not eat a heavy meal prior to the session. Depending on your primary health concern, the first visit could be anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes of inquiry. During the inquiry portion, the more information you are able to share, the better holistic picture we can gather. This includes previous illness, injuries, trauma, and major life events.
Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to roll sleeves and pant legs if you are unable to disrobe.
The session itself will include acupuncture and energy healing using guided hypnosis. Other modalities may or may not be included, this will be determined on an individual basis.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions you may need will depend on the condition for which you are being treated. Generally, the more chronic the issue is, the more treatments will be needed. Some people feel better with 1 treatment; others with 6-8 treatments; and still others benefit from regular, ongoing treatments for the maintenance of good health.
What forms of payment do you accept and what session do I book?
Cash, credit card, Venmo, Cashapp are accepted.
30 minute sessions are for existing patients only and include only acupuncture for health or facial rejuvenation. Session does not include, estim, cupping, gua sha, or in depth consult. Please schedule 60 minute for these services.
Do you bill insurance?
No, I do not. However, I can provide you with the information needed to submit an out of network claim if your medical insurance reimburses you.
What if something comes up and I have to cancel?
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. After 24 hours, 50% of the scheduled session is retained, unless a life emergency is the cause.
How much can I expect to pay for herbs?
Herbs will range between $30 - $60, depending on the formula and frequency of intake.
